Being Truly Grateful Means Unconditional Acceptance

by Richard Blackstone

When you are truly grateful, you are unconditionally accepting. Think about that for a minute. When you are truly grateful, you are unconditionally accepting.

Many of you may be saying that yes indeed, I have lots of things and the earth is great and all but if I only had more money, then I could truly be thankful for it all. I would say to you that if a lack of money is your main concern in the world, then you will never be able to attain an attitude of gratitude. Because the gratitude I am talking about has nothing to do with money or the things that money can buy for you. I would further say to you that if a lack of money is your main concern in the world, then you will never be able to manifest into your reality what you would consider a sufficient amount of money. When you make it a priority to tell yourself that you don't have enough money that is exactly what the universe will send to you, a lack of money. That's what you are “being,” a person who lacks money. Your beingness creates a doingness of things that don't bring money into your life.

If you develop an attitude of gratitude, you will wake up and feel a connection with your source. I'm not talking about a fake attitude here, I am talking about real sincerity. I am talking about when you are “truly” grateful for all aspects of your life.

Let's talk about how this works.

Think about this concept again. “When you are truly grateful, you are unconditionally accepting.”

When you think about this universe we live in, and more specifically the planet that we occupy, you accept that we are blessed beyond measure by the universe and the world as we know it. You don't set conditions on this acceptance because the world was created in the right and perfect form to fulfill a purpose inherent to its creation. You unconditionally accept the perfection and symmetry of the universe and the planet we live in and are truly grateful for its existence as a place in which to experience in physical form all that you know conceptually.

This unconditional acceptance of what is ties you to the creator of all that is by your acknowledgment that you are grateful for her creations without conditions. You accept it just the way it is, not only because that is the way it is, but also because it is the way it is for your benefit. This one creation (the universe) gives you the form in which to make your own creations.

The rest of your creations you make during your lifetime here on earth. Now you are the creator, and you get to manifest into your reality the life that you intend. It becomes crucial that you accept all your creations as your own. When you create consciously and are aware of this concept, you understand that you need to be detached from the outcome of your intentions. Your creations don't always show up in the exact form you visualized your creation to be.

You need to remember that you are in a giant collaboration with the universe in this creation business, and it is up to you to choose the thoughts you wish to create, and it is up to the universe to manifest those thoughts into physical form here on earth. The universe will do this, but it is running a giant show and coordinating your creation with the huge matrix of creations from all the rest of the thoughts in the universe. So how the universe chooses to manifest your creation will come in the right and perfect form that is best for you.

Now it is up to you to recognize your creation and accept it as your own and be grateful for it. It is sometimes impossible to see your creations because they so often don't look anything like what you imagined them to be. So the creation is manifested but you don't even know it because you don't see it in the exact same manner as you envisioned. But it is still there nonetheless.

The solution is obvious. Be grateful for everything that shows up in your experience. In some way, shape or form you had a hand in the creation of everything that shows up in your life. Be unconditionally accepting of everything. Does that make sense?

“When you are truly grateful, you are unconditionally accepting.”
