What do the successful websites do right and what does the failed website do wrong?The answer to above question is not difficult to get or understand. There are many common mistakes which lead to failure for internet marketers or web marketers.Few of the mistakes one should try to avoid are listed below: 1. Navigation system-difficult to understand: Pages must be interlinked in a logical way and this connection should be easily navigable. Place the links on page in such a way that they are easily visible and would catch up the visitor's eye. Links should be placed either at the header, or at the side column of the page. All you do but one thing should be kept in mind is that visitor must not stuck at one place. 2. Time to load: The most important as far as visitor are concerned; they can't wait too long for website to download. For that graphics in a site should be minimized to a certain size. No flashy image, no heavy image, no music files all which leads to slow download.You need a website that will deliver the information at a rate, for these choose "functionality over design". 3. Quality Content: Content is king. Visitor would get bored on reading the same content time and again, so content should be updated in a certain period of a time. Provide the content the visitor wants. Two things to kept in mind while writing the content are "originality (unique) and excellent presentation". 4. Lacking Focus: Focusing on irrelevant things is useless. For example what's the use of focusing on the technology section if a visitor is looking out for information on website development. Focus on the certain things which you think would serve you better for your website or business. 5. Selection of Keyword: Keywords are the main source of traffic to your site. If you target the right keywords, visitors will come in a plenty. So do good keyword researches for your site before you start to build. 6. Cookie-cutter websites: Website should be unique in every sense. Otherwise you would loose your ranking as well as visitors (in terms of traffic).Worse-Search engine would penalize for the duplicate content.
