How To Profit With Private Label Rights
The Private Label Route to Success
by Stuart Reid
There is only ONE way to make money online - someone else has to give it to you. No matter what you do to get someone to give it to you, that's the truth - and it's often overlooked.
Money doesn't magically appear out of thin air!
To get someone to give you money you have to sell them something. Again, a basic truth but often obsucred by some of the 'hot! new!' programs out there.
This is where the variety comes in. You can sell products. You can sell services. You can sell dreams...
The most common form of all this cash generation is selling products, and for the most profitable and pain-free business this will be online, digital products. Such as eBooks or Software.
To have a product to sell you have to own the rights to it. If you create the product yourself you automatically hold full copyright of it. This is the best kind of product to have, since it will be unique and you will have total control. If you don't have the time to do this yourself, you can pay someone to do it for you - but that will cost money.
Another form of rights is Resell Rights or Master Resell Rights. The latter means you can sell the former, i.e. you can sell on the ability to sell rights. These products are another way to make money since each sale nets you 100% of the proceeds - and often the product will come with a ready-made sales website you can use. You lose out on exclusivity, but gain on convenience.
The final form of rights you can own - and in my opinion the best balance between uniquness, control, and profit potential - are Private Label Rights.

Private Label Rights give you a completely written and designed product but also give you full copyright to that product as well.
That means you can credit it to yourself, i.e. "(C) 2006 Your Name" , and you can add to, edit, cut up, repackage that product too. You can turn it into an e-course, or you can release a "taster" edition to drive up interest. You can basically do whatever you want. You can even re-name the product to ensure there are not multiple marketers selling the same thing.
You can sell any new product you create out of the 'source' or just sell the basic product as it comes to you (a readily compiled product is often provided). The 'source' is usually something you can easily change such as a Microsoft Word document.
You can even sell Resell Rights, Master Resell Rights and/or Private Label Rights yourself!
But there's more you can do...

How to increase the benefit of Private Label Rights:
Most people don't use Private Label Rights to their advantage. They will usually just sell the product as is - or if they have a little more ability add some links back to their site into the package.
You can do a lot more than this.
First, change the products name. You won't be the only one selling "99 Ways To Top Google" but you might be the only one selling "Ranking First In Google".
Secondly, add your name, and your links, to the product. Don't just add a resource box in there, read the document and add links where appropriate. For example, in a section discussing autoresponders add an affiliate link to such a service.
Edit the sales website to reflect the new product name and perhaps modify the content slightly. Even better, create your own site, but that may be more trouble than it's worth.
If you can go even further - add audio and video! You don't need much equipment to do this. A webcam and microphone are sufficient, and there are plenty of free or low-cost products and services to do it for you.

You don't even have to sell a downloadable product. You can put it on CD or print it out as a physical product. There are services online who will do this AND send the product to your customers, or you can order a number of packages in advance. This kind of product has a greater 'perceived' value, even though it's exactly the same information.
You can also turn the product into an on-line membership site or even a free site, with each chapter or sub-chapter on a web-page of it's own. This way you can add Google Adsense ads or similiar and generate a passive income. You'll have information-rich webpages, the kind search engines love.
Finally get creative in how you sell the product. You don't have to give away resell rights for example. Why not add an affiliate program? Unless of course you deliberately *want* the program to spread far and wide - because of the links you've embedded. In that case, sell it cheap or give it away. Think ahead!
Tip: Sometimes giving resale-rights will help a product spread further than simply giving it away...
Private Label Rights are a new and exciting area of Internet Marketing that most people are not making the best use of. There are now packages and membership sites giving away these products such as http://www.netpreneurnow.com/infogoround.html
You can create an entire site around these information products and by making sure each one points back at your main store, where you list the others, you can build a profitable and vibrant business. You can even take parts of the products to release as an article, linking back to your site, or even give away a free book or cut-down book...
