How To Build A Highly Responsive Opt-In Email List
Yesterday we discussed the two key elements of List Building. They are quantity and quality.
Before I explain how to create a highly responsive opt-in email list, let's first recap the importance of size.
As we now know, when it comes to your opt-in email list,* Size Does Matter! * Without a sizeable list, the quality of your list won't mean much.
Let me explain...
The industry standard says that a two percent conversion rate is considered excellent.
Therefore, let's say you sell a product for $97.00 and you have a list of 100 subscribers. If you have a responsive, 'quality' list you'll get a 2% conversion rate. That means you'll make $194.00
Here's the math:
100 x 2% = 2 2 x $97.00 = $194.00
Okay, now let's say you had a list of 1,000 subscribers. Selling the same $97.00 product at the same 2% conversion rate, you'd make $1,940.00
Here's the math:
1,000 x 2% = 20 20 x $97.00 = $1,940.00
That's a pretty nice increase in revenues don't you agree? But to be fair, let's deduct what it cost you to purchase the extra 900 subscribers.

Here's the math:
900 x .29 = $261.00
Therefore, in our example, having an extra 900 subscribers made you an additional $1,746.00 in gross sales or and extra $1,485.00 is net sales!
Here's the math:
$1,940.00 - $194.00 = $1,746.00 $1,746.00 - $261.00 = $1,485.00
Now here's the really cool thing...
You only have to buy, or in some other way acquire, a subscriber once. And that same subscriber, if treated right, can become your lifetime customer putting cash in your pocket over, and over, and over again!

The best way to develop a strong relationship with your readers is to constantly provide them with valuable information and services. By doing this you will build a sense of rapport and they will learn to seek you out as an expert in your field -- an expert that they know and trust.
Think about it. If you were in the market for a particular product would you buy it from the expert that you know and trust, who has time and again provided you with valuable information, services and products? Or, would you buy it from the person whom you don't know at all? Kind of a rhetorical question isn't it?
