How To Acquire A Grant
Writing the perfect grant takes time, dedication and patience. It also involves extensive research. I am a professional book author;but I still aquire successful grants. First, you must apply for a tax id number in order to be considered for some grants. There are other grants that do not require tax id numbers. Write a rough draft of the grant proposal. What will the grant be used for and the people whom the funds will serve. Pay close attention to grant deadlines, you do not want to miss the important dates. It is imperative for you as the grantwriter to focus in on the sole purpose. Find the grant the best fits you and/or your organization's needs. If you receive the approved funds, use them wisely because they will have to be reported in the future. I was approved for a huge vision care grant for 5 states. I only had to fill out 2 forms. Some grants you have to compose a 3 page letter explaining your project. If you need additional help or resources preparing your proposal, seek another individual for assistance and read related literature. The average grant takes no longer than 1 month or 2 to be approved. Some huge ones may take up to a year for clearance. Well best wishes and happy writing! By:Tenisha D. Hayes
