Some Quick Solutions For Worn Falken Tires

by John Cory

When you have a top quality brand of wheels like Falken tires, it is easy to believe that you will have no trouble out of them whatsoever, but even when your wheels are brand new, they can get ruined by unforeseen circumstances. The most important thing is that any motorist who discovers themselves in a situation where one or more of their wheels have been damaged understands what they can do to temporarily fix the problem until they can make their way to a more permanent solution.

The most obvious solution for any person who has a damaged tire would be to get the spare out of the trunk and change the tire out. Any savvy motorist should understand the importance of having a spare tire in their vehicle at all times, and if you don't, it is in your best interest to remedy that problem immediately. When you have a blowout and are stranded on the side of the road, late at night and in the middle of nowhere, a spare could be the only thing to get you to where you need to be.

Another rather helpful solution for a tire that seems to mysteriously run out of air would be a repair kit, which consists of plugs and repair tools that can be used to fix any punctures in the tread of a tire. These tools are pretty easy to use as long as you can get the tire off of the vehicle and to a place where you have access to an air machine, like a nearby service station. Plugs generally do an excellent job of fixing the problem and can hold up for several weeks in some cases, but you want to get yourself a new wheel as soon as you can.

When one of your wheels has a slight leak and only deflates very gradually, it is likely that your problem can be temporarily solved with a can of foam sealant, which can be used to instantly inflate and seal your tire from the inside. All it takes to get a flat tire inflated enough to drive to a service station with an air compressor is just one can that is recommended for your size.

By placing these types of things in your vehicle somewhere, you will be prepared to handle a variety of tire troubles. Just keep in mind that these are only temporary solutions that are simply intended to keep you going until you can get to a dealer and get new Falken tires to replace the ones that were damaged.
