What Should You Expect From A Top Salon?

More than just a haircut…

by Sam Qam

Depending on what sort of town you live in, chances are you will have more than one hair salon to choose from. It seems that the number of hair salons have almost trebled in recent years, leaving most people with a great deal of choice when choosing where to spend their money. Thanks to this competition, standards at even the smallest hair dressers have had to rise sharply and now when you visit one you can expect not only a great haircut and a good service, but unfortunately a hefty price tag too.

So when you do pick somewhere to go, what can you look out for to help you judge whether this place is up to scratch? Here are a few points to look out for:

Hair Cut

With all the fancy surroundings you must not forget that the most important thing you are there for is a top haircut. Plus if you are paying well over £50 you should be expecting a very talented stylist, to not only be consulting you but also to be doing the cutting. Their years of experience and talent no doubt demand to be paid highly but should result in you having a style that suits you perfectly is and will help you make a statement. You should be able to ask them for pretty much any style and have them execute it with speed and accuracy, yet also ensure they are professional enough to tell you if something you ask for will not suit you.

Coffee and Facilities

To match you high quality hair cut by a high quality stylist you should be able to expect a top salon to provide facilities and extras that make your experience all the more enjoyable. Top salons should have pristine stylish surroundings with magazines that are up to date and un creased, and offer you tea and coffee that is presented to a high restaurant quality standard.

Salon Design

The salon design as a whole should also be first rate. Look out for the build quality and positioning of any reception desks and the styling of the chairs and backwashes. Not that you should exactly walk out if the salon chairs aren't made by a certain designer but they should be pretty high quality when compare to a regular salon or barbers.

So the overriding message is that if you are choosing which salon to go to and have the money to pay for it, you should be able to expect very high quality services and facilities in all areas.
