Top 5 Hair Care Tips
Keeping Baldness at Bay
Hair is one of the most important visual markers for human beauty and attractiveness. You could spend a lot of time and money trying to make up for basic hair care mistakes, or you could learn the free basics of hair care and keep a full, thick head of hair without as much effort.
Human hair is one of the most important markers of beauty that we as a species and a culture have. There are definitely a lot of attractive bald people, but most people today really would like a thick, beautiful head of hair. However, too many of us don't have that sort of thick beautiful hair and can't ever seem to get there from here. Our hair tends to be brittle or dull, or even start breaking off and falling out at a certain point. Can anything be done to stop this hair loss and get back to having thick, beautiful hair? Yes, if you can gain some idea of what you're doing.
The first point about getting a nice, thick head of hair is a proper washing schedule. Contrary to popular belief, most hair does not need to be washed with shampoo every single day of the week. Even if you need to wet your hair daily in order to style it properly, that doesn't mean that you necessarily have to wash it with shampoo. You could just condition it on a daily basis. A mild daily conditioner will get the dirt out without drying the hair follicle and causing brittleness and hair loss due to breakage. Use the shampoo every other day or when you do something particularly strenuous or dirty.
Another point about keeping your hair healthy is to get the right nutrition. Your hair isn't alive at all, but the hair follicle that creates the strand most definitely is. The hair strand itself is made up of a specialized form of protein called keratin. The hair follicle must have a full range of nutrients to work with in order to create healthy, strong keratin. Therefore, you both have to eat a healthy, balanced diet and make sure that your scalp is getting plenty of blood flow that's necessary to transport the nutrients to the hair follicle. A deficiency in either area will lead to a weak hair strand that's more likely to just fall out.
The body requires sleep and relaxation in order to process nutrients and create new cells. This goes for hair just as much as any other structure of the body. Overtiredness and excessive levels of stress will start taking their toll on your hair, largely because your hair's not a high priority for survival. If the body has a limited amount of rest in which to repair and improve the body, hair will always come last on the list for repair. Your body regards hair as a luxury from a survival standpoint. So, if you want a beautiful head of hair, you will have to make sure and get sufficient sleep and relaxation.
Just like everything else in your body, the condition of your hair is a combination of genetically determined traits and the environment you live in. You can't always control the genetic things, such as a familial tendency to weak hair and nails. However, you can arrange your environment to fight those genetic tendencies. If you want to stop baldness and enjoy healthy, radiant hair, then you'll have to work at it. Put some thought into the problems that your hair seems to have, make sure you're living a healthy lifestyle, and you'll get the strongest, thickest and most beautiful hair that you possibly can have.
