Why Stop Doing What Works?

by Shamala Tan

I have been visiting some networking groups with the hope of finding a compatible group I can work with to help me to expand my mission work.

One question I asked the groups I visited was, What is the most common reason why most people leave the group? I received a particularly curious answer from one group who told me that the reason why most people left was because they had too much business!

I could interpret it in two ways: One is that the remaining members of the group were not very successful in their business and this was why they were still around. If this was so, then would I want to join such a group?

The other way of seeing this was the group did the people who left such a favour that they could not handle their abundance anymore?

I personally feel that if something is working, why stop? I mean if the group did such a great job of referring tonnes of business then why go? Having too much business is a good problem to handle. And I personally think I will enjoy such a problem!

In the spiritual business that I am in — coaching and assisting people to manifest their life's mission, having too much business only serves as a testament to the good work that I am doing. There are so many different ways to handle the over flow of abundance but stopping it is not an option!

Many people handle many aspects of their lives in the same manner because they prefer to see it as a bad problem as opposed to it being a good problem. I know people who will not confront their challenge even though overcoming it will bring in lots of opportunities and abundance, but they prefer to seek other ways they perceive as easier paths because that one challenge is just too overwhelming to them.

Another reason why some people may stop doing what works is because they want faster results. But as we all know, there are no quick fixes, no get rich quick schemes out there, no investment that is 100% risk free.

Yet another reason why people stop doing what works is because they have become complacent and lazy. The lower mind just kicks in and wants the easier way out. But we know the laws of the Universe, we understand that what we put out is what we get.

If you have a skill, or a system going that has been working to help you to gain greater abundance and serving more people, you just need to be consistent in your efforts and perhaps keep improving on it.

Whatever you do, don't stop doing what works. Your patience will pay off big time because you got to believe in what you do.

Your Assignment From This Article:

Make a list of things you have been doing in your life either on the personal or business level that got you some results to build your abundance and your ability to serve others better. And then:

Ask yourself why did you stop?If you stopped because you were lazy, complacent, can't be bothered, found it too much hard work, then you need to re-think your goals and purpose in life. Ask yourself if you want a life of purpose or if you want a life of regrets?

If you stopped because life got in the way, then you need to work on creating better systems and get your time and life better organized. Remember: Don't say you don't have enough time. "You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein." by . Jackson Brown, Jr

If you are doing all the things on your list but have not seen increased results, you need to see how you can further improve on them, or maybe have a little more patience.Take your list and get some feedback from a friend or business colleague who can help you to see better what you may not be doing or seeing right. Perhaps you have been blinded and standing too close to the things you feel passionate about.

Happy working!
