With all the pressure from television, peers and family it can be hard to be single these days. Most singles can't get through a day without someone asking them or television suggesting to them that they should be with a partner. This can certainly be either embarrassing if you really want a partner or really tedious if you absolutely don't and are happy being single.<br/><br/> Happy singles are probably in the majority in the UK, not because people are unlucky in love, but because people are not normally allowed to feel that it is OK to be single long enough to appreciate it. To help people who think they may be perfectly happy being single, here are a few reasons why you can be exactly that:<br/><br/> Not Ties<br/><br/> The biggest reason for most happy single is that they have complete freedom. Having a partner may well mean that you have to stay in one place, you have to share your holiday periods together, you have to think about them in every area of your life and can get in trouble if you don't come home when you say you will. Not all relationships are like this but this situation may be what strikes fear into the heart of singles enough that they are happy on their own.<br/><br/> Being single also means that you are free to have as many short relationships as you want. This might mean one night stands or you might just like being able to go out and flirt and not have to worry about hurting anyone.<br/><br/> Career<br/><br/> One big thing that can suffer as a result of being in a relationship is someone's career. Having children, buying houses and putting down roots can severely limit the places where you can take your career. As a single you would be able to move to a new city or even country with minimal fuss and notice.<br/><br/> What dating sites UK and even most of the free dating sites UK want you to think is that a relationship will only ever add to your life. But if they are really honest, even the happiest person in a relationship can think of a few scenarios in which they would be happier as a single.<br/><br/> Been There Done That<br/><br/> For some people, relationships are just not for them.
