Uniform Dating Resolution: Don't Write your Resolutions on Sand
Now as we greet the new year, let us welcome all that is new- especially a blooming love life for this year. With the new year, you tend to write a new year's resolution, is love included in it? Now, better make sure that love should be in your resolution. Find out what other singles are thinking about for the new year.
1. Think Positively and Loose The Negativism
You must be able to shut out all the negative thoughts, all your doubts about love and dating. When you want to succeed, set your mind and think that you can achieve your goals. When you leave room for doubt, that's the weak spot that makes it all come falling apart. Set realistic and achievable goale. Be the center for love and it all starts when you give it. Give more, share more and more love and attention and you'll see how greatly you will be rewarded.
2. Set Specific Goals
There's a saying that goes that "You have to know where you are going, if you are actually going to get there". There is a saying that holds true in dating and relationships. Some singles just grasp whatever love throws at them. If ever you want to get a hold on love that you wish to have, you must first examine all the things that life throws at you along the way. Think and write down all the stuff that you look for in a partner. You can start from being vague to specific, after your finished read again. Then you will notice that instead of a "megawatt smile", you'll go for someone who "can make you smile" instead. From being too general, you can narrow it down to a specific reality.
3. Have a Healthy Relationship With Yourself
Many women have set aside their own goals, personal careers and even time for themselves and just pave their way and their everything for a shot at love or to their significant others. All your efforts, your time, your money all went to others that somehow you just feel drained and disappointed when you think about the last year. This is a New Year, find time for yourself. You should learn to love yourself before you can learn to love others. If you are not happy with yourself, you tend to be destructive in relationships. Pamper yourself, be happy and live healthy.
4. Set Limits and Know Your Boundaries
Always remember that relationships always have to be in a give or take basis. It's time that you put your foot down and take control of your life. Being drained from your time and energy, whether they are family or friends could be demanding on you that you won't have any more time for yourself. When you give all of your time to everyone else, your own happiness will be at stake. Set limits and have a break. You've been doing the same thing the whole year and the year before that. Make a difference this year and break free from it all.
These are just a few of many single's resolutions that they would want to make and change about themselves for the New Year. If you are one of them, then make an effort to make these resolutions a reality this year. Don't let them stay on paper, but work on making yourself a better person! And keep your list, so that next year, you can review and try to see if you've made progress.
