Bees, wasps and extermination - the best way to get rid of this problem

Honey bees are a wonderful creature - as long as they are in the wilds or you actually want to house them on your property. If they are there uninvited, they can be anything from a nuisance to a danger, especially if someone in the area suffers allergic reactions to their stings. Anaphylactic shock is nothing to mess around with.

Honey bees almost always nest inside some type of cavity, whether it is in the walls of your house, in a well house or other ornamental yard structure, the walls of a storage shed or an old car or trailer that you have. When the nest is small, it is fairly easy to kill the bees but there can still be problems associated with leaving the nest inside whatever structure they started building it in; other bees may smell the already manufactured honey and try to take over the nest, and there is also the factor of the organic matter of the bees, the nest and the honey. None of these are good for the health of the structure, so even a nest in its infancy should be completely disposed of.

Also, as the nest gets bigger the bees become more territorial and defensive, increasing the risk of an attack by single bees or a swarm - and this is where things can get dangerous. The normal reaction to a bee sting is some swelling and pain, but about 10 - 15% of people have a more severe reaction, which includes a larger swollen area and more severe pain which can last up to a week. The most serious is a reaction to the sting which induced anaphylactic shock (any allergic reaction which is serious to cause death), and while only about .5 - 3 % of people (depending on age; the younger you are the less likely it is) will suffer this most serious reaction, over 40 people a year die from insect stings of one sort or another - and there is reason to believe that that is a conservative effort.

Also, many people become allergic as they grow older - you may have been stung before without an allergic reaction, but that does not that the next time you are stung you won't have one. That is why it is very important to establish bee control as soon as you see them anywhere on your property. To do it properly, Wheeler's Pest Control in Los Angeles have expert staff which are trained specifically to handle the problem from killing the bees to getting rid of the nest and the honey which has been produced thus far.

The larger a nest is, the more problematic it becomes to remove the nest (and the more expensive) so it is important that you call a licensed bee extermination professional as quickly as possible once you notice the problem. You would be amazed at how quickly the nest of a honey bee can grow, expanding to fill whatever cavity they have set up shop in.
