Making Money With Online Focus Groups

by Casey Trillbar

Are you a stay at home Mom or Dad? Do you need a part time job? Do you need to make a little bit of extra income each month just to get your bills paid or to have a little bit of extra cash to spend?

Then I suggest you look into making money online with paid surveys and focus groups. If you really need flexible hours and are in need of just a little extra money, then doing online paid surveys will work out just fine for you. If you can commit to certain days or hours on a monthly basis then joining a focus group will pay you more for your time.

You will find either one of these positions on the Internet by doing just a bit of searching. This is one of the biggest craze to hit the Internet and it is a growing business in which thousands of people are participating in to earn that extra income they so need and desire.

Paid surveys is just exactly what is says. There are companies on the Internet that will pay you just for you to give your opinions on a variety of products and services. You can work at it in your time, meaning it doesn't matter what time of day or night it is. It is on the Internet so it is available to you 24 hours a day.

Now joining a focus group will take a bit more of your time and you will have to commit to being available on their schedule usually once or twice a month depending on the group.

A focus group differs from the regular paid surveys position by the fact that you are going to be online with a group of people discussing or answering and giving opinions on a variety of subjects. A lot of these groups concentrate on political matters, environmental topics and things of that nature.

Someone is in charge of the meeting, taking notes or filling out forms and reporting that information back to the supporting company that has put together that particular group.

These meetings can last anywhere from 1 to 2 hours but the pay is quite a bit more substantial than just taking simple surveys. You can make anywhere from 75 to 150 bucks each meeting depending on the group and the topics being discussed.

So by signing up for just a few of these groups and being able to meet their time table, you can see how you can really make a nice chunk of change just by being able to express yourself correctly in a group environment.

Not all focus groups will be available for you to join. Some of them you will have to go through a screening process that could take a week or so to go through, answering a lot of questions or taking qualifying surveys to get approved for that certain group. Others it is just a matter of signing up then being available when the group meets.

So, if you need flexibility, sign up for simple surveys but if you can commit more time and be able to meet a schedule, go for the focus group, the pay and experience is quite worth it.
