Black Friday: Grand Canyon Helicopter Trip Promotions

by Lea Fallon

Prepare for Black Friday! The Grand Canyon is ready to, especially when it comes to rates on chopper flights from Vegas and the South Rim. Learn to save big. Check out this article.

It's This Easy

You'll need to book online to receive the best discounts on the discount shopping day. When it comes to booking online, you'll need to use your credit card to lock in that discounted rate and put a hold on your seats.

Discounts are available for tours that go to the West Rim or South Rim, and that depart from Las Vegas or Tusayan. Be sure to act fast, so you can snag a good deal on one of the landing tours.

I personally find the landing tours the most enjoyable because you can get out of the chopper and explore, but please understand that these tours are only available from Vegas. Because prices after Thanksgiving will be the best you will find all year, I highly recommend that you take advantage of the discounts to book a landing tour.

Tour Options

Since you'll get such a substantial discount on your tour, you'll be able to afford some add-ons you might otherwise have to pass up. After all, you're saving money so you may be able to add more adventure, even on a limited budget.

If you leave from Vegas, you can book a landing tour that comes with VIP passes to the Skywalk or one that comes with a champagne picnic.

There are no landing tours at the South Rim but the all-air tours that are available are awesome. This tour will allow you to jump on a 4x4 Jeep and explore the landscape. Taking a ground tour and air tour on the same day is the ultimate way to experience the canyon. The Jeep tour is over two hours long, and you will even be given a special IMAX cinema experience to go with it.

Basic Or Deluxe?

You can book a basic tour or upgrade to a deluxe tour, so you should be aware of the differences between the two options. Nearly all basic tours will use the Bell Ranger helicopter. Of course, the Bell Ranger is safe, but it's not the ultimate option when it comes to flying the Canyon. For the best, you will need to choose a deluxe tour.

The deluxe tours fly on the EcoStar 130 chopper. The aircraft is designed specifically for commercial sightseeing, so it has a lot of nice perks. The cabin is bigger so you have more room, the seats are more comfortable, there are no obstructions in your line of sight, and the huge panoramic window offers the best views possible. The only thing better than a deluxe tour is getting a discount on it, so don't miss your chance to book one of these at a bargain.

Another nice thing about a deluxe tour is that when you depart from Vegas, the helicopter lifts off right from The Strip and you'll be picked up from your hotel in a limo.

Final Thoughts

Helicopter tours of the canyon provide unrivaled sightseeing. If you've been waiting for the right deal, then the Friday after Thanksgiving will be the perfect time to book tickets.

Remember that you'll need to get in quick, and make sure you complete your booking with your credit card. No matter what tour you choose or whether you depart from Arizona or Vegas, you'll get a fantastic price on one of the most scenic and fun air tours in the US.
