When you are attending events or simply meeting someone for a cup of coffee, the only way for you to ensure that people will remember you is your business card. This is the reason why it is essential that you have a stimulating, professional looking and unique business card. Keep in mind that the bulk of business cards gathered after an event kept in a box never to be looked at again, or worse throw straight into the trash bin. This makes it exceptionally important to create winning cards that much likely to be kept and remembered.

To help your create a killer and winning business cards, take note of the ideas presented here.

o Don’t forget to put your logo or a picture of you. Your logo is the key element that will help you be recognizable out there. Say, for instance, you can use a cartoon or clip art to serve as your logo. Put this in all your cards and even in your other marketing materials. This will help you be more recognizable to people in such as way that when they see the cartoon or clip art they would immediately think of you. You can also put your picture in your card. This is like putting a face to a name. With your face in your card, it makes it hard for anyone to forget about you.

o Consider putting your social networking URL. Modern technology has indeed made networking easy and effective these days. Today, it’s no longer about adding your mailing address in your card in order for people to contact you. It’s more about putting your social networking links. People are now looking for Twitter and Facebook urls in cards, so don’t forget to put yours in your card.

o The other side. There’s nothing wrong with creating an eye-popping front, but why waste the back side when you can use it to boost the look of your card. A plain and boring back side won’t help your card get kept and remembered. Use your creativity and imagination to make the back side sizzling. People will surely notice a card that has something going on at the back. Add anything you like on your business card templates. It can be a calendar, a map, a clip art, or even funny stats from famous celebrities, professionals, and politicians. Don’t be afraid to be creative at the back. Create something unique and original to get more attention to your card.

o What’s the size of your card? With the cards you have collected, you have probably noticed that some of them are not of the standard size. Some don’t fit in your card holder while others are small enough that they fit conveniently in your holder. It’s kind of annoying to have cards that don’t fit your holder, but these cards are actually the ones that caught your attention first. They sure stood out from the rest and grab your attention.

o What would it be: paper, plastic, wood, or metal? You can always go for simple and creative paper cards, but if you truly want to get noticed you can always go for plastic, wood, or metal cards. Today’s technology allows for cards created from plastic, wood, or metal. These types of cards can cost more than the paper card, but they are sure to leave a long lasting impression.
