A healthy and nutrition rich diet of both partners goes a long way in increasing your chances of getting pregnant .You need to intake a sufficient amount of fresh fruits and vegetables .The more colorful your plate looks, the better it is for your health. Consuming protein rich food like meat also boosts your chances as do oysters which contain zinc. Vitamins are the most important nutrients which are required before and even after getting pregnant.

Similarly, you should avoid having some kinds of food. If you are a caffeine addict, it is better to lower your consumption to a minimal level at least till the time you conceive. Also doing away with smoking and drinking can significantly elevate your chances of getting pregnant .It also helps to keep a check on your weight as being underweight or overweight can delay your chances of conception. Ideally, both the partners should have a Body Mass Index (a measure of body fat as per your height and weight) of 20 -- 25 in order to conceive quickly.

Leading a stress free and calm life is as important a factor as any of the above .If there is too much pressure in your work or otherwise, then it wouldn't harm you to practice some relation methods like yoga or meditation. Also it is good to get yourself exposed to sunlight.
