by shoepoker

I am going to start off by giving you “the secret” to becoming a winner in poker. Right here in the beginning of the book. Remember this tip. You might not believe this at first, but trust me. I believe that you will agree with me by the end of the book. The secret? Poker is not a card with marked game, it is a people game played with cards and chips. There, now you know my secret. With that information fully developed, you can compete with world-class players. Of course, you must begin by mastering the logistics of the game, but keep in mind that your knowledge of people will be the difference between winning and losing. So part of your preparation should be the studying of the trends of the people you play with regularly. When you know what they do in various circumstances, you will be able to take advantage of their habits. Please run and train at your own risk. Expanding your poker abilities is the risk you take, but you must be aware that you take that risk as a fully informed person. You can get hurt playing poker. You can lose your money. You could even become addicted. You could lose a fortune playing poker because you cannot control yourself. That is the risk you take all by yourself. True, poker is a skill that you can learn that can provide monetary rewards. However, if you have a predisposition toward addiction, you could be in for trouble. The game of poker became increasingly popular in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, mostly in America, but exactly where and how it started is unclear. Some have suggested the game was conceived by the merging of two or three European and Middle Eastern games. Poker ,as we known it, probably was born in the southern United States, grew into its adolescence on the riverboats along the big rivers and reached adulthood in the wild American west. Some claim the riverboats, like the ones that trolled up and down the Mississippi and Missouri rivers, contributed immensely to the growth of poker. This is most likely true. It takes only a few moments to learn the basics of poker, but it takes a lifetime to learn the intricacies of the game. The attraction of poker is both its simplicity and its complexity. Poker can be extremely profitable, or it can bankrupt you. Perhaps it is this polarity that draws us to the game. Whether you are a newcomer to the game or just trying to polish your skills, i wish you will.
