Is secretly hypnotizing people possible?
Hypnosis is with us since the beginning of our species. People have been hypnotized, and still are, every day since the day they became conscious...It has been widely recognised that everybody goes through at least two states of trance each day - right before falling asleep and just before waking up. In reality we go through hundreds of "trance states" every day.Hypnosis is a tool that one can use to predictably and intentionally bring about such states in his or her subjects and prolong them so that they last a considerably longer time. The official position of hypnotists is that it is impossible to hypnotize anyone without their full cooperation and agreement. They say all hypnosis is self hypnosis...To a degree this is true, but it has been shown that it is indeed possible to hypnotize people without them knowing! In fact, it is considerably easier to do so and if such "hypnotist" knows what he or she's doing, he or she can predictably and quickly hypnotize anyone in the range of 30 minutes or so after meeting the person for the first time. The key here is to be very flexible and to use all of the wide varieties of techniques and strategies available from the covert hypnosis arsenal. No one technique works on every person, but all of them do.If this is hard to understand, think of a time when someone tried to help you remember things. If they were using a different internal representational system, you found techniques they used with high success very weak. If you're predominantly a visual person and they said the key to learning was reading everything out loud, it wouldn't have worked for you...But if they knew what representational system you predominantly use (e.g. visual) and they suggested you visualize very clearly and in a funny way everything you read, you'd very easily remember what you've read. It's the same with persuasion and covert hypnosis. People respond to different cues differently. It's a job of the persuader to recognise what the prospect is most likely to respond to and test what techniques work best. After that, secretly hypnotizing people becomes very predictable and easy.Successful people unknowingly use covert hypnosis (and other persuasion techniques). They didn't learn them in a course or from a book, but from experience and/or observation and modeling successful people.Today, thanks to the freely available information, everybody can quickly learn the skills necessary to become a highly persuasive and magnetic personality. If you could have anything you wanted from anyone, what would it be?
