How to Fill Your Seminars and Training Events with Ease : Part 1

Every speaker or trainer I talk to is always asking me the same thing:

How can I get more people into my events?

Their mantra is, ''I need more people, I need more people, I need more people...''

And my reply is always the same, ''Who are you talking to? Are you talking to me?''

I fit into the category of people I guess, and if you said, ''Hey person!'' I might turn around, but I definitely would not follow you into your event room!

The reason most trainers have empty event rooms is because they are not specific enough about WHO they want sitting in the chairs of their event rooms. It all boils down to marketing.

Your training business is only as successful as your marketing communications, and the only way to make your marketing communications successful is to GET INTIMATE WITH YOUR SPECIFIC AUDIENCE!

Anytime you promote to a potential audience member (whether in person, through internet ads, or through any other marketing modality) you must ensure that individual feels like you are speaking directly to them! That is, your message (and subsequently your event) must be crafted with your Specific Audience in mind.

In short, your marketing communications must feel intimate.

So, what is the first step to creating the intimacy it takes to magnetize people to your event rooms? Narrow your focus as much as possible! You must decide exactly WHO you want attending your events! This means getting crystal clear on the demographics and psycho-graphics of your ideal client.

The next step? Get to know as much as you can about the lives of the people you are planning on being of service to; Are they men or women? Do they have families? How old are they? What is their educational background? How much money do they make? Where do they live? Where do they work? Where do they play? Where do they congregate? What language do they speak (literally and figuratively)?

When you know this information, you will not only know WHERE to market to your specific audience, but HOW to phrase the marketing in a way that will entice your people to come to your events in droves!
