The eMagazine, published by Geostar LLC, is a dream-come-true for puzzle aficionados, the world over. (I have been closely associated with Geostar in the making of all their Sudoku related products, starting with my eBook on How to Solve Every Sudoku Puzzle.)
Puzzle lovers and other visitors at Geostar's website sudokuvillage.com, find the free version of the Sudoku emagazine, Sudoku Smorgasbord, to be among the site's most attractive aspects, with its comprehensive collection of Sudoku and mathematical, logical and word puzzles.
The eMagazine is available in both FREE and PREMIUM versions. The free version offers a tantalising appetizer by way of one each of Sudoku puzzles for beginners and buffs, a mathematical puzzle, a logical puzzle, an anagram page and a chess puzzle. The premium version of Sudoku Smorgasbord, available to subscribers for a fee, offers a virtual buffet, containing seven each of Sudoku beginners' and buffs' puzzles, one nasty level Sudoku, four mathematical and logical puzzles each, ( including one visual puzzle), a fillword, two crosswords, a chess puzzle and a Cross Sum.
Visitors to the site have been forthcoming in their praise of the eMagazine. One such guest book entry at sudokuvillage.com reads: "I think the eMagazine is terrific. Earlier I was interested only in Sudoku, but now I have developed an interest in solving crosswords and it is enhancing my vocabulary too. Thank you, Editor."
Sudoku Village is Geostar's brainchild community, aimed at uniting Sudoku buffs, from around the world.
The 9x9-grid game has been successful in captivating the majority of puzzle lovers, worldwide. Filling empty squares is a quality that Sudoku shares with crosswords. However, there ends the similarity between crosswords and Sudoku. Sudoku is far simpler, and its rules are easier to understand. Sudoku addicts, some of whom can solve a Sudoku in 10 seconds, continue to find the logic behind the puzzle enthralling.
People between the ages of 14 and 80, have participated in the Puzzle of the Day contests held at the Sudoku Village site, offering daily prize money of $25. The Sudoku whiz who submits the maximum number of correct solutions also gets to wear the Sudoku Crown of the Month.
Sudoku Village, which has garnered over 3,600 members, has been received by Sudoku buffs with enthusiasm. One member of the site has written in to say: "Great perseverance to inform others of what is available. Keep up the great work. As a mother of three kids aged 12,11, & 7, it is difficult to always have time to read about Sudoku news, etc. I am pleased to see how many things are available!" Another Sudoku lover felt that my website had succeeded in bringing together millions of Sudoku lovers: "I appreciate all that you do to join Sudokuers together and help us solve the darn things. Thank you for your continued interest and your customer satisfaction!" The positive feedback has resulted in several Sudoku spinoffs such as the Sudoku browser, an online solving tool, a portable Sudoku, designed as a perfect travel companion, and Sudoku T-shirts, aimed at serving an ever-growing Sudoku community.
Meanwhile, Sudoku Smorgasbord, with its compendium of puzzles, riddles and trivia, appears to have caught the fancy of people who love to exercise their minds. Want to know why? Click on this link to find out for yourself, by downloading a sample of Sudoku Smorgasbord Premium Version.
