Organizing Your Digital Photos for Scrapbooking
Digital cameras are becoming more and more popular as time goes by. As a scrapbooker, I have found it easier to organize digital photos rather then tangible photos. Here is how I chose to organize them.
When you load your photographs onto your computer, create a few folders. Organize them by date and event. I like to take this a step further and copy and paste what photos I want to have per layout. So when it is time to scrapbook, I merely view my folders and choose which one I would like to work on that day. I then look to see how many photos there are and figure out a layout that would work for that amount of pictures. I take in consideration different sizes I could print the photo, with regular film processing you cant do that. I then print only the photos I wish to work with.
When using digital photos, you can crop or change the color on your photos. Do you think sepia photos would look better than the scattered colored photo? No problem, just open your photo editing software and change the coloring. If the subject of your photo is off center or a distracting image is in the picture, you can crop or zoom in using your photo editing software. Digital photo is the best way to go! They are so much easier to handle and take up only computer space!
