Better apps through automated crash logging

by Adrian Thielbar

The best mode to expand your app is to add a few automated error harvesting to lend a hand trackdown problems. You don't want clients uninstalling or leaving since of strange bugs you would never find on your own.

Options so far are pretty slim. Android has logging built in with is okay - but not notable. And it only works really with Java applications, which doesn't help the cross platform HTML5 users.

Crashlog, a new exception logging site has made quite a hubbub so far throughout its closed beta period. Only incredibly few users are being let in now - but the interest level is high.

The system proportedly offers crash and error analysis as well as limited self-help capability. Since the library is being altering so much at this phase - only select brave developers are being given access. Allegedly iOS is the present testing focus and new keys are being approved for it only.
