A lawyer is a person who basically has knowledge about all the laws by obtaining a government law degree from a certified institution. Person without a certified law degree is not considered to be a lawyer. Lawyers provide services both as advocates and advisers. Duties A lawyer should collect all the evidences to prepare protection. They can also commence legal actions by way of counseling the clients and witness to know the facts in the case. A lawyer should evaluate the findings and should develop strategies and prepare arguments for presenting the case. They should interpret the rules and regulations for the individuals and businesses. They should present the cases to judges. They should represent the clients in front of the court or before government agencies. They should prepare legal documents such as deeds, mortgages, leases, wills, contacts and patent applications. They should provide evidence to defend clients. Most of their work is mainly based upon research on precedents which are previously known to be interpretations of the laws and the history of the laws in judicial. In order to support their cases in court lawyers will make use of these precedents. Lawyers are bound by strict code of the ethics in order to protect the rights of the individual and established laws. There are two stages of lawyer job description which are inherent to the legal profession. The first one is based on the general applications of the duties which are involved in developing strategies, analyzing the outcomes which are based on legal precedents, advising clients, rules and regulations, evaluations, findings and interpreting laws. The second one is when the lawyer is specialized. The most common specializations are probates and wills, corporate law, criminal law and family matters.
