Cyclonic spin preference
What determinates cyclonic spin direction.
What makes a hurrican spin, counter clockwise in the northern hemisphere, is charge in the form of heated air moving perpendicular to the Earth's magnetosphere.Because magnetism is unidirectional and it's polarity fixed, in the southern hemisphere the magnetic lines of the Earth's magnetosphere north pole are comming out of the Earth and going through the heated air causing it to spin in a clockwise manner. But in the northern hemisphere the magnetic lines are comming down from above going through the air then to Earth causing the direction of spin of the heated air to rotate in a seemingly oppsite direction. Picture a top spinng in your hand now slowly turn your hand over. What was spining clockwise is now spining counter clockwise. It takes many micro events together to form a macro event such as a tornado or hurrican. An understanding of the action of a charged partical moving perpendicular through a magnetic field will explain it well.
