Luxury New Homes In Hampshire Ends Couples Year Long Search

by Keith Osborne

When David and June Rawle decided to move home to be closer to their children, they could not foresee that they would be looking at new homes in Hampshire for some twelve months. They couldn't find a property that met their requirements until they went to view Banner Homes' exclusive development in Beech, near Alton. At Beechwood Heights, they found a home that ticked all their boxes and they are now the proud owners of a superb five-bedroom detached house.

"We had lived in our family home in Soberton in the Meon Valley for the past 18 years," says David. "We had been looking for a year but could not find anything that fitted exactly what we were looking for. Then we found Beechwood Heights and decided to make a visit. We really liked the surrounding area of mature trees and space with the homes set on a no-through road. It is also two miles from Alton so we can reach the town quickly, which is something we couldn't do before."

The scheme comprises just five executive homes in one of the county's most sought-after locations. Each home has been individually designed and boasts an exceptionally high specification and generous accommodation. Though this level of luxury comes at a price, it has not deterred homebuyers in the area, and now just one of the homes remains for sale, priced £1.395 million, open for viewing from Friday to Monday, 10am to 5pm.

"We were very impressed with the specification and quality of finish on the homes," adds David. "It has a traditional look from the outside but is fitted with all the latest technology and fixtures, such as underfloor heating and cabling throughout for all the latest gadgets. It is definitely cutting edge and up to the minute. We are delighted with our new home."

The last home at the development is a five-/six-bedroom home spread over three floors and is ready for occupation right now. Three of the bedrooms boast their own en-suite facilities. The master bedroom is truly luxurious, generously proportioned with a dressing room, full private bathroom and balcony. There's a large office space above the double garage that is ideal for home-working and the second floor accommodation is self-contained, making a perfect guest suite or separate living space for an au pair or independent teenager.

Located on the edge of the South Downs, this Banner Homes scheme has the benefit of one of the UK's finest scenic areas close at hand while being within easy reach of the amenities of Alton, two miles away, and the even greater choice of shops and entertainment in Winchester and Basingstoke.

There are some excellent local schools in both the state and private sectors, making it an ideal location for a family buyer. For commuting or shopping trips to London, regular rail services from Alton take just an hour into Waterloo. The M3 and A31 provide convenient links to destinations such as Guildford, Southampton, Heathrow Airport and the coast.
