Something as basic as twenty minutes every day of various physical activity will provide you with a substantial statistical improvement in your likelihood of surviving a physical threat. This type of improvement in conditioning can make the difference between life and death when you must guard yourself from a predator. This could be all of the motivation you need to remain consistent with your brief daily workout. Even if you are never assaulted, you are going to benefit. Do you now find exercise hard? It is only natural that when you are this out of shape, you are worn out during your self-defense exercises. That actually will ruin much of the fun that may be had in class. When you are able to perform at optimum efficiency in the class, you will get a lot more out of it. And so your self-defense capabilities expand significantly as your fitness increases. It is vital to be in good shape if you want to be sure you can protect yourself, but this does not imply you need to devote hours to exercise every day. In a serious self-defense instance, you do want the confidence to know your body will not give out when it definitely needs to perform at its best.
