Degree Type

There are many colleges that have year programs for this degree while some may want something more advanced which would be a registered nurse degree. A Bachelor's degree is becoming more and more preferred by several schools nowadays so it may be worth it to jump to this degree before a LPN license degree program. When you are talking to enrollment counselors, be sure and ask everything you have about the nursing school. You should also ask about the requirements needed before you can enroll in the desired program.
School Size
Do you want to attend a larger university or stick with a community college with smaller classes? This is different for each person. If you are more of a-learn-on-your-own and are fast paced, a university may be your option. Classes are larger and for those who need a little extra time, you may want to stick with a community college. These class sizes are smaller and should you be stuck on something, the professor can spend a little one on one time with you to help you grasp the topic.
Another thing you may want to look into about nursing schools is their grade average and ranking. Typically, A-rated schools can have a better education programs and can often lead to more students being successful. There are several websites that allow you to learn about the schools rankings and how successful their students are. This can be a great indication of helping you find the right school for you.
