Discernment and Choice
The law of attraction brings what you desire to you. It is then a matter of discernment how you choose to use the information brought forth. Bringing forth spirituality information leads to spiritual growth is you choose to use it. As a perfect example, we can say that your soul has lead you to the words you are reading right now as an opportunity to fulfill your desire to live your life more consciously. It has performed this function many times during your life by bringing the words of wisdom, clarity and truth to you to help you evolve. If it is your plan to experience the concept of living your life more consciously, then you may choose to use the information in this article to help you implement that desire into your life. Now here is the crux of this thesis. Even though you may see the merit in the information that has been presented to you, and even though you may believe whole-heartedly that the spirit part of your beingness has brought you to this information with the sole intention of allowing you the opportunity to evolve to a higher level of consciousness, you still have the option to choose to use this material to help you grow, or you may choose to read this article, then put it aside and never refer to its content again. In other words, you may choose to do nothing other than continuing to live your life just as you did before you read this article. You see, it is entirely your choice. The only difference is that you now have, as part of your make-up, the information that you have accumulated and interpreted and stored somewhere in your memory. Even if you do not use this information in the present moment of now, or in the immediate future or in the next few weeks, months or years, you still can recall this at any time because the “experience of exposing yourself to this material” is now part of “who you are.” So we have three dynamics working here. We have the active accumulation of knowledge about a specific area of interest. We have the task of discerning whether this information serves us or does not serve us. Then we have the ultimate dynamic of choice.
Are we going to use this knowledge if we have discerned that we would be served by doing so, or are we going to not use this knowledge even though we have determined that it would be beneficial to us? You may think that this is a no-brainer. Sitting here objectively viewing your options you might say to yourself that it would not make any sense to subject yourself to this knowledge that your spirit has led you to, review the information contained within, discern that the material that you just read would definitely be of service to you and then choose not to use it. It wouldn't make any sense to choose not to use this information if you felt that it would serve you but humans make those self-defeating choices all the time. The key here is that you wouldn't “consciously” choose to not use something that would serve you, but if you were living unconsciously then it would be easy to make choices that don't serve you. As you read this article, you are in the conscious act of processing the written material into the discernment factory that we know of as the brain. Data is being analyzed and you are bringing to the forefront of your thinking those ideas and concepts that resonate with your inner guidance system and “feels” like the truth. You are in “active mode” and you are mixing this information with your intentions in order to produce a result that is in alignment with what it is that you ultimately desire. You are being conscious. This affects your decision making by being fully aware of what's happening. Your discernment level is up and tuned into the purpose at hand. Does this information serve me? Does it not serve me? How can I best implement this information into my life so that I can make conscious choices? You see how this works? You are putting your attention on your intention and it is calling forth information from the universal mind. Right now you are doing this consciously so you can almost visualize the process. It is absolutely amazing in its simplicity. Simple, yet complex. Here is the good deal about this. You get the simple part and you let God and the universe do the complex part. Your part is to merely call forth that which you intend and desire and the universe then devises a way to bring it into your physical and metaphysical reality.
