Outdoor Play Toys Ideas

Can you imagine a healthier activity for your kid than going out to play, enjoying the fair weather and fresh air? What can be better? Kids tend to spend their days in front of the TV or computer, depending on their age, either watching non educational programs or playing video games. Outdoor play toys are fun and can make your kids interact with other kids in the neighborhood or their friends and family. Nowadays, kids take less and less exercise; it's not surprising that obesity levels are so high, since most kids are practically inactive.

You can find several outdoor play toys that can motivate your kids and make them go out and play. Depending on your budget and available space, you can find pools, playhouses, big swings, ride toys or simple sport related toys. If you have a yard and free space around, you can set up a little field or court; if you have a toddler boy, you can start with playing soccer. There is no toddler that doesn't like kicking a ball. Moreover, this is a group activity; you can play with your toddler, or you can invite his friends and neighbors and let them play all day long. It's a great exercise, it's fun and it allows your kid to learn rules and socialize. Even if your kid is not interested in soccer, there are numerous other options; you can plant baskets, for basketball, or set up a small tennis or table tennis court, which is appealing to both boys and girls.

Ball pits are also fun. You can either create or buy a ready-made pit - which can be found in various shapes; balls jumping all over are something that all kids like. Most of those pits are easy to fold and you can even take it with you if you on vacation, or on a short trip.

Trampoline is also a great idea. There are particular trampolines, with safety sides, which are exclusively for kids. All children like jumping and they usually do it on their bed, on your couch, even on the table. If you buy a trampoline, you will ensure several hours of fun and exercise for your kids, while at the same time you can save your precious furniture. Safety sides ensure that your kids will not injure themselves at any point, even if they fall off the trampoline.

Another good idea is to create a playhouse. All kids like having their own playhouse, because that gives them a notion of independency; they can have their own space, and create their own world. It can be a great reason and motivation to leave the couch and rush to the yard to play. You can even encourage your children to eat their lunch or cookies there occasionally and of course invite their friends. Children will appreciate the idea of having their own vital space, where they can play and have fun out of the box. Playhouse can be either plastic or wooden; you can make it or buy it. In any case, make it spacious enough and make sure that it is both stable and safe, without any sharp edges.
