by Jerrel Jones

An incredibly life-like replica of this fighter plane is now available to the delight of hobbyist who appreciate the joy of flying RC aircraft. Most demanding pilots aren't dismayed with the Parkzone Corsair rc controlled airplane.

The F4U Corsair and it's Glorious History

It made its inaugural journey from an airfield in Guadulcanal. This distinctively designed fighter soon after, was deployed from ships patrolling the Pacific Ocean.According to military historians, they carried more payload than jets and could stay on station for a longer time. The Corsairs were used for 90% of all ground support missions during the first 10 months of the Korean War, by Navy and Marine Pilots.

Simple RC Plane Assembly

An inverted gull wing design is incorporated with the design of the Parkzone Corsair. A maximum speed of 400 mph is achieved with the unique setup that allowed the original planes to lift off from the decks of air craft carriers. A hobbyist can simply throw the RC plane in the air and see a perfect take off. This plane is prepared to fly within minutes of unpacking it. Bolting the parts into their correct positions is the only requirement for the pilot.

The entire kit includes the following: - Wing with aileron servos installed and connected to ailerons - Receiver in molded mainframe with engine, ESC, and elevator and rudder servos installed - 3 blade and also blade propellers - 3 cell Lipoly 1800mAh battery - Charger with automobile accessory connector - Full range transmitter Spektrum DX5e 2.4GHz - Full range receiver Spektrum AR500 5-channel - Four double A batteries - Wing skids and Landing gear - Instruction manuals

Flying the Corsair is Great Fun

Anyone who is serious about rc airplanes is aware that the greatest test for this type of plane involves its in-flight ability to move. Even the toughest critics in the hobby thinks that the Parkzone Corsair is a delight to fly.It efficiently completes smooth turns and the figure "8". The control unit makes for outstanding acrobatics, like the original which used this ability to avoid enemy bullets.

You can actually decide to use a 2-blade or a three-blade propeller. The plane performed better in climbs and had better speed with the 2-blade propeller, as noted by some pilots. More stability during flight is achieved using the 3-blade prop. Aerobatic manuevers can be done with either kind of prop, but the 2-blade comes out more defined when it comes to rolls, loops, inverted flights and other moves, as observed by test-flyers.

In it's own time, the Parkzone Corsair rc controlled plane can be a legend, assuming history is any pointer. For the hobbyists who love nothing more than seeing one of these beautifully designed aircraft fly into sky, this plane serves as a reminder of the fighter planes that served in the war.
