Academic Tutoring-Helping With Algebra Homework
The day my daughter comes to me for academic tutoring such as help with her algebra homework, will be the day she realizes that mom might not be the smartest person on the planet. Though most children find out their parents don't actually know everything, most parents don't know when this day will come. However, on this day my math anxiety will overtake me and my cover will be blown.
A good way to lose my in interest is start talking numbers.

Everyone knows that we live in a world of math and can't live without it, but I can. Even basic algebra didn't make sense and brought on headaches and on occasion a few tears. Basic math I can do, But algebra, forget it. I needed help. Tutoring or a better teacher really would have helped me. I wouldn't feel the way I do now if I did. Algebra would not br my highschool nightmare.
My secret will be out of the bag the day my daughter asks me for algebra homework help, and I'll feel bad about that. Her dad can help her though, he's a whiz at math and could probably help her with other subjects too. Tutoring will probably be the only answer if she continues with math and takes calculus. I will however be very proud of her.
Finding someone to come after school to tutor your child is a hugh help. Perhaps there teacher can recommend someone or the teacher could possibly help.
