Buying Wholesale Clothing - Clothing Distributors

by Brent Crouch

Wholesale clothing is big business. Everybody needs clothes, but there are many folks who are downright passionate about the clothes they wear. Many wholesale clothing businesses will go out of business just as quickly as they went in. Follow these three tips and be a success in your clothing business.

Odd Sizes Aren’t Always Bad

Retailers do not like odd sizes because they feel that they have a hard time selling them. Wholesalers are willing to dump odd sized clothing at dirt cheap prices. Drill it into your mind that these odd sizes are not a bad thing. You stand to get this clothing cheap and you can in turn sell it at high markup.

The fact of the matter is that people come in all shapes and sizes. Odd sizes are hard to find at a retailer, so this is a great opportunity for you. You can offer these sizes and when someone finds them they are more than willing to pay a premium to get clothing that fits them. So, keep this in mind when you are buying clothing for resale.

Don’t be Shoddy, Get High Quality

If you want to kill your business quick, then buy cheap and low quality clothing. No one wants their leather jacket to look like a plastic rain coat, and they definitely don’t want it to feel like one. Buy clothing that is genuine (leather, suede, etc) and that looks to be comfortable. People not only want to look good, but they want to feel comfortable too.

Be Sure and Take Advantage of the Cross Sell

If you want to target women with your wholesale clothing then you need to think about offering some men’s as well as children’s clothing. Think about the fact that many women are also wives and mothers as well. By offering clothes that will fit into the category of the people that they also shop for you stand a much better chance of maximizing your profit.

Be a success when you jump into the wholesale clothing business. Your goal is to stay in business and to make money. Follow these tips and you are sure to be at the top of the clothing chain!
