MDIS School of tourism and hospitality was just created in August 2006 where the first group of diploma undergraduates came in.

Soon after this Bachelor degree course was launched, since then, the school has been enjoying close collaboration with institutes from Australia and the United Kingdom in nurturing promising professionals of the future.

Later in March 2007, MDIS School of tourism and hospitality was finally launched and this day was participated by several travel and tourism industry associates. It is known that the beginning of this school of hospitality was an prompt move by MDIS. It came in just in time to help settle the increasing need for qualified and experienced employees in the travel, tourism and hospitality industries. Students were offered in both classroom setting as well as hands on practical practices. This was because these hospitality management pupils not only have to go through the academic segment of the programme in school, they are also demanded to fulfill a four to six months work internship at leading hotels, resorts, attractions as part of the course. Through these job trainings, learners would be better trained for any hotel management or tourism management related issues.

Up to date, there have been more than 3,000 pupils coming from more than 20 nations that have linked MDIS School of Tourism and Hospitality. This fast rise in people crowd has also brought about more opportunities for the learning centre. Through this, MDIS spent more than a quarter- million dollars on a practice groundwork to equip students with the great techniques and knowledge to work in the various tourism and hospitality corporations. Since this school of hospitality has been known as one of the top hospitality and tourism studies in Singapore, it will continue to improve and surpass pupils' goals by offering top education and services.
