Ideas for After Prom Night

by evelyn1205

Prom nights are fun and exciting. However, contrary to what most of the students think, the excitement can be carried over even after the prom night ends. When prom time finally rolls around, it's important to have most if not all of the special details in place - the prom gown, shoes, purse, hairstyle, makeup, manicure, pedicure, and more. Another element of prom may not be the first thing on your mind, but it is still important. What are you planning to do after the last dance? You can indulge in a lot of activities after the prom night gets over. A group of friends and party mood is all you require for converting your night into a memorable one. Making plans with other friends in your class will extend the evening into the wee hours of the next morning. Plan ahead so you know exactly where you are going after the prom.

The Beach or Lake Proms are generally held in the spring as the weather starts to warm. Gather friends at the beach to celebrate the night under the stars. Before the prom, divide up items people should bring to keep the party going. For example, someone can bring music, while others are in charge of food and beverages. Another suggestion is to have parents meet their kids at the beach or lake to provide some of these items so they do not have to stop home or store them in the limo during the prom. If local ordinances allow it, you can also light a bonfire on the beach.

Go to a Teen-Friendly Night Club Some cities have special all-ages night clubs that are safe for teens to party at. Head to one in your prom gear and keep the dance party going for another couple of hours. You're guaranteed to be the best-dressed people there.

Have a Greasy-Spoon Midnight Breakfast After a busy night of dancing and socializing, you deserve a little snack - preferably at a place that serves pancakes and chili cheese fries. And it'll be ten times more fun if you there in your glamorous, red carpet clothes. (Just be careful not to spill any syrup on that rented tux.)

Evening Breakfast After a night of dancing, everyone seems to be exhausted, yet ravenous. Persuade your parents to host a laidback after-prom breakfast. Have a relaxed menu of breakfast casseroles, cinnamon rolls, coffee cakes, and fruit. Have a pitcher of juice and a carafe of coffee and voila - breakfast before bedtime! Sleep over at a friend's house. Play games, watch movies, and enjoy snacks. Cherish these times because graduation often comes too soon! Make your own virgin daquiris, margaritas, and pina coladas with friends. You might also be able to find great virgin frozen drinks at a restaurant that stays open late. Go to your school's post-prom party (if applicable). Many high schools plan a post-prom celebration for students who attended the prom, featuring lots of food and activities to enjoy. It's often a big party of sorts with a focus on fun without drinking alcohol.
