Frequent fly into first class

by Jonathan Kittley

Frequent flyer memberships offer more than just free miles. You can often

acquire an upgrade if you're a member.

It may be easier than you think frequent fly into first class. Almost all

airlines offer frequent flyer programs and you should sign up for a

membership on all of the airlines that you use. It does, of course, help if

you fly almost exclusively with one carrier. How to get flight upgrades for

not additional charge can be as simple as being a loyal customer. Airlines

love repeat customers!

"Elite" membership in a frequent flier club is achieved by building up a

certain number of flight miles. Be sure to check with the airlines to see if

any flights offer any privileges for members. The best way to do this is to

call the airlines directly because most flight specials of this sort are not

advertised or posted to their website. The majority of airlines will offer

flight upgrades on a complimentary basis to their elite frequent fliers. Most

of the rest offer a set number of coupons for every ten thousand miles

accrued that may be exchanged for ticket upgrades. Some airlines also offer

automatic free flight upgrades to their members who purchase full price

economy tickets.

To build up miles, flying often is quite simply the best method. However, a

couple of things can help the miles build up faster. Giving the airline a

call whenever booking a flight can be invaluable. Flights on certain days of

the week, that are under booked or have an attached special may offer bonus

frequent flyer miles that can be worth more than the flight itself. Club

members may also have access to airline upgrades that also offer a greater

return on miles, since certain airlines and flights offer more miles for

business and first class customers.

In addition to the perks and specials, simply being part of a frequent flying

club can drastically increase your chances of getting an upgrade at the

ticket counter or through the gate agent. If it is a choice between upgrading

a member or a non-member, the airlines are going to reward the person they "

know" is the loyal customer with airline upgrades. They want to encourage

their members to keep flying with their service and free flight upgrades is

one of the easiest ways to do that.

In addition to the other benefits its offers, signing up for a frequent

fliers membership can be one of the surest methods of securing free flight

upgrades. Your cheap ticket to first class can be as simple as being a loyal

customer providing repeat business to the airlines. Frequent fly your way

into first class and enjoy the comforts!
