Once you rip it off your newest purchase, you probably never give it a second thought, but there is something to be said for shrink wrapping and all it has done for the modern world. At face value, it is little more than a thin layer of plastic film, but to today's industries, it is a crucial tool with tons of unique purposes. Since shrink wrap is such a huge deal for businesses and the things they can do with their products, there are many companies out there that are completely dependent on it.
