Kerala is known as the God’s own country because of its prime location. Kerala is a place where a tourist will find the hill station, backwaters, beaches and tourism for spice, wildlife etc. Kerala one of the ten paradise in the world, is the most known tourist destination in tropical Malabar Coast. Kerala is known place not only at the domestic level but also at the international level. Kerala is known for the beaches, backwaters, hills, wildlife, ayurveda and other adventures. The tourism in Kerala, promotes culture tourism, adventure tourism, wildlife tourism, spice tourism, and health tourism etc.

Kerala is so beautiful hence it is also considered as one of the tenth paradise on earth. It is blessed with hills, beaches, backwater, and houseboats which makes this place as a heaven on the earth. Kerala is a perfect tourist destination because it is an amalgamation of every pleasant view on earth. Every state of kerala is filled with the amazing scenes and beauty of backwaters, houseboats, wildlife, hills stations, beaches etc. that attracts many tourists from all around the world every year.

The major attractions while on Kerala Tourism are beaches, backwaters, hill stations and wildlife centuries. The main beaches to view in Kerala are Varkala beach (on the coastline of Arabian beach), Kovalam beach, Cherai beach, Muzhappilangad beach etc. Muzhappilangad is the only beach in Kerala which is the drive – in beach. Backwaters are the sequence of brackish lagoons and lakes in the corresponding to the Arabian sea. In backwaters, houseboats are the best known as tourist destinations. Backwater tourism is mostly held in alappuzha, Kollam and Kumarakom.

Kerala has high mountains, gorges, deep valleys etc. Kerala is a place where most of the region is tightly packed forests and the rest of the part is under tea and coffee plantation. Some of the well known hill stations in Kerala are Munnar, Vagamon, Peermade, Nelliyampathi, Ponmudi and Wayanad.

Kerala is a place with many religious places like temples and churches. Onam is the main festival of Kerala. There are many religious festivals held in Kerala. Thrissur Pooram and Chettikulangara Bharani are the main temples where many festivals are held. The other main festival is also Shivratri held at Aluva and Padanilam Parabrahma temple. The main festivals for Christians are Parumala Perunnal and Manarcad Perunnal.
