Keep Fit Without A Gym
Keep that membership fee for something useful
It's that time of year where we would all like to be a little or in some cases a lot lighter and of course more fit. There is a misconception that you have to be pounding a treadmill or pumping iron in the gym in order to get in shape but that's just not true. There are many different ways of getting fit and joining a gym is just one of them. If you like many other don't have the time to go to the gym and don't want to pay a fee to share a room with 50 sweaty strangers then here are some tips on how you can get fit on your own.

Use natures treadmill

People often seem surprised to learn that you do not need a treadmill to exercise your legs. You can just simply go for a run. No matter where you live you will always be able to find some space that you go for a run in. Running is not only a great way of losing weight but it also good for your heart. A great way of getting fit is to set yourself a goal to achieve such as getting into shape for a marathon. This will give you a goal to work towards and add a bit of purpose to your exercise routine.

Get ripped without even leaving your house

You don't have to use equipment worth thousands of pounds to get the body image that you desire; you can have just as rigorous a workout by using everyday items. For a flat stomach lie on your back on the living room floor with your legs up on the sofa and start doing sit ups. You will soon realise that this technique will give your abs a great work out. You can also use your sofa to do press ups by placing your feet on the edge while in a face down position and just let your arms do the rest.

What's Stopping You Making Your Own Gym?

If you still want to use regular gym equipment to get into shape then why not simply buy the equipment yourself. If you have the spare space then you will be able to work out whenever you like and avoid paying a gym membership. Equipment such as dumbbells and a power rack can be bought relatively cheaply and before you know it you could have amassed a home gym.
