The Body Needs These Natural Immunity Superfoods for Optimum Health

by Curt Amorello

You know that if you want to keep your body healthy you need to eat a balanced and nutritious diet and get enough exercise while making sure to drink enough water. That's all fine and good but the truth about being healthy lies in the details There are some foods that are going to be far more helpful to keeping your immune system healthy than others. Specific foods, called superfoods, are what you need to boost your immune system. Our focus in this report is to answer the questions: What are these foods? and Which ones will strengthen our immune system?

Try eating some Brazil Nuts! They are a wonderful source of selenium. Brazil Nuts are an important source of selenium. In reality, it would be hard to find a better natural source. Since selenium fights off free radicals, it protects them from causing your cells to deteriorate. You will also be happy to know that selenium protects your body from several different infections, cancer, and even heart disease. It is particularly useful in fighting against the bacteria that takes up residence in your gut area. You can add Brazil Nuts to a lot of the different foods that you are cooking. They go great in a salad. Brazil Nuts taste great when eaten on their own.

Peppermint, a common herb, is a wonderful superfood for strengthening your immune system. Did you know that peppermint contains these important nutrients: magnesium, phosphorous, and calcium? These are all nutrients that help you maintain a healthy immune system. There are many different ways peppermint can easily be included in your eating plan. You can enjoy a nice cup of mint tea at the end of your day. When you're shopping, pick up a box of those snack mints. Your tossed green salad will benefit by the addition of a handful of fresh peppermint leaves. It can even be used to season different meats. The versatility of peppermint is wonderful. A drop or two of peppermint essential oil in your morning smoothie will liven it up.

Garlic does more than protect you against vampires - just kidding. It's one of the best immune strengthening foods you can eat. Do you have a problem with the odor of fresh garlic? If you do, just think about all the immune boosting nutrients that are packed into that little, smelly clove. The best way to get to these compounds is to eat the garlic raw. It may seem strong, but if you want the best results, just chop up a fresh clove and swallow it down. If raw garlic just doesn't appeal to you, you will still benefit by using it in your cooking. This will still help your immune system and your food will taste great. Don't be afraid to use a lot of garlic. I have a great recipe called 40 Clove Garlic and it's delicious. Use as much as you can and you will feel wonderful. Even when we don't take care of ourselves as well as we should, we all hope to maintain good health. We know that the best way to do this is to eat a balanced diet, get enough exercise, and drink plenty of fluids. That's all fine and good, but that doesn't help you figure out what you should eat. Some foods - superfoods we call them - do better jobs of keeping you healthy and your immune system strong. Our report has shown you how easy it is to start eating the three superfoods we've been talking about - turkey, salmon, and tea. In order to have more choices of superfoods to include in your eating plan, do a little research online or ask someone at your health foods store.
