4 Ways Article Marketing Is Still Free

Article marketing is one of the greatest ways to do Internet marketing because of its low cost. As a matter of fact if you are willing to do all of your own work you can build an Internet business through article marketing without spending any money.

Here are four ways it does not cost anything to do article marketing.

1. Write your own articles. Once you get the hang of it writing articles for Internet marketing purposes is very easy to do.

I would submit that anyone who practices can learn how to write an article in 30 minutes or less. If you are writing on a topic that you have some knowledge on you can probably do it in 15 minutes or less depending on your typing skills.

I personally dictate all of my articles using the Dragon Naturally Speaking software. If you are going to do much article writing, and are not very good at typing, this would be one expense that will pay itself back many times over.

2. Post your article on your blog. You should have a blog. If you don't you can set a free one up at Blogger.com.

Every time you write an article add it to your blog and bookmark it to social directories using Only Wire. This will get the articles spidered and you get credit for them before you use them in any other ways.

3. Submit to article directories. Get them in the top directories such as Article Base, Ezine Articles, and Idea Marketers. Include a resource box at the bottom of every article that includes a link back to your website so you can get traffic from the articles you are submitting.

4. Search engine traffic. Write your articles targeting a keyword phrase. These articles can be picked up by the search engines and ranked which can lead to more traffic.

Many people get hung up on this concept when in reality it's not hard to do. Use a good keyword resource tool such as Traffic Travis, and then write articles using one keyword phrase per article.

Over time you will develop a very large base of articles around specific keywords. The search engines love this and the amount of traffic you can get from this strategy is fantastic.

These are 4 ways article marketing is free to do and you can benefit from. As you began to make money you may want to use tools to automate some of your article marketing. You can even hire a freelance writer to write some of your content for you which will free up even more of your time.
