Upgrading your Rental Properties without a big investment
I own several rental properties and I am always looking for the best way to save money on things I need for these units. Kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities are “big ticket” items that are always needed in rental units. I recently found out about RTA kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities.

I used the Chestnut Glazed Maple in my kitchen and it looks like a showroom kitchen. So not only can you use them in rental units, but they work for your house as well.
I compared prices at local supply stores and super stores like Home Depot and Lowes. I found that their prices were higher and the quality was much lower than the RTA kitchen cabinets and RTA bathroom vanities. The mistake is that people buy assembled cabinets at a big box retailer and think this is the only way to go. Fortunately, ordering RTA cabinets online is easy and far less expensive then the traditional way to buy cabinets. The assemblage of these cabinets has become very easy as well. Years ago these types of cabinets took hours of reading instructions and many tools to complete. Now a ready to assemble cabinet can be constructed with a flat head screw driver and the simple instructions that come with the cabinet.
One final pitfall to a great looking in-expensive kitchen; be careful what type of RTA cabinets you buy. Many rehabbers think IKEA is a good place to buy cabinets. This is not a wise choice. These cabinets are very difficult to assemble and they are made from cheap material. So remember to make sure your cabinets are easy to assemble and they are from a reliable source that does not use cheap materials.
Where can you find the cabinet that is easy to assemble and made from good materials? Searching online is a good way to find these cabinets and is easy to locate if you remember to use the phrase RTA. Just type in RTA cabinets and you can be off and running to an inexpensive kitchen with great cabinets. Keep in mind that there are plenty of sites selling cabinets, shop around because prices vary greatly.
