Single Parents Dating: When To Call Them After The First Date

When you have gone out with a date with your potential match, and everything goes smoothly; chances are there will be more to come. The few minutes after the date sends you to cloud nine and you can't wait to meet them again. A day later, you're getting pretty fussy since you haven't heard from them; and you haven't called them either. If you don't know what to do, here is a simple guide to help you.

1. Is it okay to text them after your date just ended? Women: Women are more emotional and easily affected. It's okay if you will send him the first text a few hours after your date ended. If the guy fancies you, he won't consider a text a turn off. On the other hand, he's going to feel relived that he made you happy on your date.

Men: If the date really does go well and that she is showing signs that she likes you, then text her. If she replies, then great. This will keep the momentum going on. And also, when she replies, she is giving you permission that you can call her up the next day.

2. Is it okay to keep them waiting? Women: When you delay the time to call for a couple of days, it will build up the anticipation and make you more interesting to him. That is if he genuinely likes you and your date was truly awesome. If you call too soon, they will think you are too keen. If you make a delay and make them wait; they will be thinking about you and wondering why you haven't called them. Don't let him wait on your too long or he'll think you aren't interested in him.

Men: The same tip applies to men. If you keep her waiting long she might get piqued up and get more interested in you. If she's not sure about her feelings for you, she might think it's taking too long and move on. Always be cautious when you do this.

3. When is the right time to call them? Both men and women: If ever you should call them, it would depend on some factors: how the date went on and if the person is really interested in you; and also, how the person looks forward to see you again. If you find that you two seem to get well together; if you both have good vibes for each other, then call them the next night. It's less likely to be off putting is you put time in between your call and the first date. Waiting them wait is not a sign that you aren't interested or that you are being manipulative. The space in between the date will help you to come down from the first date jitters and feeling. You can also think of what to say to your date. Make them look forward, anticipate on hearing from you; and make you look less needy. Do not let them wait too long for you though or you'll lose the momentum you have established.

Remember these tips when you find yourself smiling after a big date. Calm yourself and reserve your thoughts of calling them too soon. Make them anticipate and build up their interest in you.
