Planning a vacation? Then learn the travel scams and tips how to avoid them, so you don’t get scammed, too.

Here are the things you need to know to avoid travel scams: 1. Free Vacations.

Nobody is going to give you free vacation. Yes, you are told that you will get free vacation packages and go on vacation free, but you will need to pay fees to reserves the opportunity. And after you pay this fee, that travel company will never appear again, even if you try to contact them several times. Also there can be a lot of other hidden fees behind the “free vacation packages”.

2. Travel Deals by emails.

If you get a travel deal by email, it is certainly a scam. Just about all travel deals (and Free Vacations) by emails are scams. If you get travel offers by phone, then you should check the company name, address and telephone number.

3. 99$ per person for all-inclusive trip to Florida.

Yes, it sounds too good to be true – a trip to Florida with all travel charges (hotel, airfare, transfers, etc.). But when you call for the trip, nothing is available for this price. You will need to pay additional 300-500$ for the hotel an dates you want. And There will be a lot of additional charges too.

4. Airfare Is Free.

You get call that, you have won three tickets to Florida. But there could be a clause in the contract that says you must stay in particular accommodations -- which turn out to be outrageously expensive. And a lot of extra charges.

5. Winning Lottery.

Another type of scam is an announcement of a contest or lottery. If the agent claims you've won a contest, get more details. Public contests and lotteries have rules and regulations -- and you normally have to “enter” to win. If you didn’t enter, you didn't win anything. You'll just be asked to pay lots of fees. Don't - it's a scam. If you've won a legitimate contest or lottery, it shouldn't cost you anything to get your winnings or prize.

6. The Time Share Scam.

In this type of scam you are given a free vacation, but before you to travel, you have to sit through a presentation from a timeshare salesman. The worst part about timeshares is that they are virtually impossible to get rid of once you buy one. Because you will sign up several contracts with them about this.

7. Identity Theft.

Unfortunately, it is one of the main problems. Especially, take care not to leave any personal information on vacation, especially, in your hotel room. It can be credit card, passport, personal computer or other information. Try not to give your credit card to any company or service which asks it.

How to Avoid The Travel Scams?

Here are some tips: -Beware of travel companies that misrepresent information about booking and travel costs. -As Mentioned above, don’t let anyone take your credit card out of your sight. -Ask for and read all travel brochures, flyers and any printed information about a package trip before you sign on the dotted line of the contract. -Do all the background research you can. -Make sure you receive paperwork that includes the “final’ or “total” price of a deal or package. Keep all of the paperwork until you’re back from the trip, safe and sound.

These and other tips can help you to avoid the travel scams and make lucky vacation.
