Spain Benidorm - Protect Your Baby From The Sun and Abduction

by Kacy Carr

Are you travelling to Spain Benidorm this summer with a new born baby and want to know how other couples cope with young infants abroad. Well on your list of priorities in caring for baby in Spain Benidorm, is to initiate some common sense. This is an accommodating Spanish town in every aspect - where baby needs are catered for profoundly, but, it is up to you to sanction the services provided by most hotels in this resort to make your place of stay a safe environment for baby.

This Costa Blanca coastal town is no different to home. Okay, there will be things in Spain Benidorm that is done differently to what you are accustomed to, but it is how you adapt that matters. Tourists on a family holiday in Spain - will do many things abroad that they would never dream of doing in their home town (UK) or other parts of the world. Spain Benidorm is most evidently the holiday location for families and couples etc because of what it has to offer, and that being, everything, The resort is famous for its clean safe golden sandy beaches, its nightlife and excellent cuisine at affordable prices.

Parents holidaying here can occupy the toddlers on the beach, their kids can tell them if they are hot, thirsty or need to rest, whereas in contrast, a newborn baby can not, so you have to be vigilant in watching baby's behaviour. The Spanish sun can be very hot and dangerous in peak season, regardless of the child's age, you need to smother the children in sun protection and place a hat on their head.

New mum and dads may feel the beach is an inappropriate holiday activity with baby only being a few weeks old, so it is a good idea to book into a holiday complex where all activities come into one, i.e. lovely lush tropical gardens, swimming pool, cosy bar, restaurant, and night time entertainment. This way parents get to enjoy their break, and if baby needs changing/ hungry then the room, holiday apartment is close at hand.

1 Before travelling to Spain Benidorm - have the infant's health checked. If your doctor gives the baby a clear bill of health then there is no reason why you can not book a flight to Alicante airport.

2 Tiny infants are easier to carry around when they are little. A baby abroad wont' care where they are as long as they are comfortable i.e. (fed and clean) and kept occupied if of toddler size. Why struggle with a stroller/pram, consider a carry sling. If you choose to transport baby round Spain Benidorm this way then the child will need to be kept in the shade and his or her skin protected with total sun block cream.

3 Use bottled water abroad - Keep baby's thirst quenched to avoid them becoming dehydrated.

4 Baby essentials to bring abroad are, medicines, feeding bottles etc. Bring baby's favourite cuddly toys, they are light to carry and will help settle the infant while settling in unfamiliar surroundings.

5 Babies usually have no problem when flying but, if showing signs of discomfort let baby suck on a bottle or mother's breast . This will help with the cabin pressure.

6 On holiday do exactly what you would do back home with baby, i.e. Protect the infant from the sun, quench his/her thirst when dry, and let the baby know you were happy to have them tag along to Spain Benidorm

Baby's are required by law to have their own passport. Baby passports must be kept in a safe place, this may alarm you, but so be it if it protects your child further - from being abducted while on holiday and taken into another country. The sad case of Madeline Mcann being kidnapped from her bed in Portugal needs to remain in our minds every minute of every hour of the day to keep our children safe.
