Several Simple Methods to Develop Your Personal Travel Record Holder
In case you travel a lot then you know how disturbing it may be to keep your own travel documents and passport organized. You can utilize job ticket holders to keep your travel necessities protected or you can make your personal travel file holder. Below are the steps for this particular craft:
Prepare the things you need
To make your personal travel file holder, you'll need a non-stretchable fabric that measures thirteen inches by forty-four inches, a piece of 10.5 inches by 11" felt in different colour, 1 button which has a width of 5/8" to one inch, pins and hair elastic.
Slice the cloth into four pieces
Begin the project by cutting the cloth fabric into 4 parts of the following dimensions:
* Piece A must measure 10.5 inches by eleven inches. Slice 2 parts of this specific size.
* Piece B should be 13 inches by 11 inches.
* Piece C must be 9 inches by eleven inches.
Flip and topstitch pieces B and C
Flip piece B in half lengthwise and after that iron it. Topstitch over the fold a distance of 1/8' from the border. Perform exactly the same with item C.
Pile the pieces together
Get one of the A pieces and put it on your worktop with the face up. Stack piece B on piece A, making sure the bottom 11" sides are aligned. Place piece C in a similar manner on top of piece B. Utilise pins to carry the three pieces together, ensuring all of the bottom edges are aligned.
Start sewing
Begin sewing on the top section of one side of piece B and make sure that all the layers are held together. There must be a a space of a one-half inch around the base and top section of the other side of piece B.
Attach the hair elastic
Stitch the hair elastic to the side seam to have a loop to be used for the button closure. First estimate the center of the right-hand end of the connected piece A. Place the hair elastic at the center approximately midway above the one half inch seam. The elastic needs to slightly reach the outside edge of piece A and the other parts will be put above fabric of piece A. Pin your work and tack it down to make sure that you don't go above the seam allowance.
Connect the 2nd piece A and felt
Stack the 2nd piece A over the first piece A which you have already stitched. Make sure that the right sides are facing each other. Pin the felt over the second piece. Start stitching all the layers by using a straight stitch from the lower right-hand part. Sew around all 4 parts but leave an opening that measures three inches.
Include finishing touches
Clip the seams along with the corners before you decide to turn your work right side out with the three inches opening. Iron the edge seams and the gap on the loser side. Topstitch the external corners and be sure that you close the space. Fold the right on the left part so that a vertical fold is made and then iron it. Open the holder and sew the vertical fold by using a straight stitch. Connect the button on the right section for the closure.
You can now travel without worrying about how to organize your travel documents.
