Accessing blocked sites such as Myspace How many times have you ever wanted to access a site from your place of work or from your school but you could not? Just because the network administrator of your organization has restricted access to Facebook, Myspace or Hi5 you just cannot accept this new friend request. Usually administrators use a firewall to block the access to certain sites in order to control their bandwidth usage or to just deny you some free time.

Surf anonymously with proxy sitesWe all know this feeling of being bottled and this is where a proxy becomes a very interesting solution. The site redirects the entire request that it receives from you through its own server thus assuring you that you are completely anonymous on the net. Thus the firewall thinking that you are connecting to the proxy site will let you connect to the blocked site. Additionally since it is redirecting the entire request through its own servers the proxy site ensures that you remain anonymous on the net. This helps to hide your internet protocol (sort of physical address of your computer) thus keeping your privacy on the web. Therefore site administrators and hackers will not know your whereabouts on the World Wide Web.

Private surfingAlternatively if you are free to access the internet but you do not want your manager to know which sites you are visiting using proxy can help you access this blocked site anonymously. Just by deleting the URL of the proxy site from the address bar you remove all the information on the sites you have visited from your computer. No one will ever know if you have visited the latest Forex news or My Space.

Better still, most of the proxy sites are free and do not require any registration. Using a proxy site will ensure you private and anonymous surfing on the internet.
