Destination Wedding Photography Tips: for Couples with quirky destination choices!
Throwing a destination wedding away from your chez vous? Planning to have your wedding celebrated in some offbeat destination, completely novel and totally mind-blowing for your invited guests? Well you aren’t some outcast, if you may think so. In fact, the concept of destination weddings is quickly catching up heat as an haute couture. But before you plan to go the less trodden path, halt and take a step back to realize that you’ve invested in the proper photography talent (meaning a destination wedding photographer) as all your wedding’s charm will be immortalized by him.
Now that may sound a little tough on you, but that doesn’t mean it necessarily has to be one. Glide through these easy-to-apply destination wedding photography tips so that you don’t miss out on any important factors related to the picture shooting of your coveted destination wedding.
1. First and foremost, since it is a destination wedding, chances are that you aren’t that well versed with the place. So it would do well to stroll around and, basically, do a recce of the entire new venue to explore and understand which places would perfectly compliment your wedding shoot. If you haven’t finalized yet on the wedding venue, this exercise might just be fruitful to you.
2. Whether you plan to do it all by yourself or hire a professional talent, you’d really want to clarify and confirm with the destination vendor for once. After you’ve zeroed in on a place that meets your eye, you’d also want to check with the site owner to get his approval on the venue also, even if you plan to click a few shots only.
3. Most importantly, once the permissions and everything have been sought, the couple could do a rehearsal photo shoot just to deem what things would actually turn out to be. It isn’t that hectic after all. Get your stylist (both clothes and makeup) to ensure what your outfits for the day of the shoot will be. If you simply plan to shoot on your wedding day, then in that case you spare the stylist from the photo shoot venue. Remember, makeup plays an important role!
4. Additionally, you could plan a wedding photo shoot post the wedding. What’s a destination wedding photography without the exotic locales in the background of the picture? Your wedding day won’t grant you enough time to hop places for a shoot, so post-wedding day sounds a better idea to capture the best of you. You’d already be glowing from the charm acquired from your marriage last night. All the more reason to have a shoot.
5. Consider the expenses incurred in advance. You would be traveling, making the destination wedding photographer travel too. So obviously expenditures would be double than normal and, probably, the photographer would too demand more. But considering that you’ve chosen to go destination-style for your wedding, these risen costs wouldn’t affect you much.
Note: Since its destination wedding, don’t forget to share your pictures online the soonest for all to see.
