International Celebration: Recognition of the Nations

by Paula Hardee

“And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation.” Rev 5:9

The fouth annual International Celebration started out with an Irish dance which led into recognition of the nations. Nearly 13 countries were represented as delegates carried their flag. There were people from Aruba, Nigeria, Cuba, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Scotland, South Africa, Hungary, Ghana, England, Venezuela, Guatemala, and of course the US. The purpose for this celebration was multi-faceted: to demonstrate God's love for the nations; build relationally with different cultures; and impart vision for missions.

This celebration is a part of the efforts that missionary Paula Hardee works in conjunction. Paula's mission is to facilitate, demonstrate, and impart the truth of Jesus to the nations. One specific upcoming project that Paula is coordinating includes a short-term mission trip to Kyrgyzstan. The focus of this trip will be youth oriented as the team reaches out to the local orphans in that area. She trust that God will send those who are ready, willing, and able to get out of their comfort zone and share His love with others around the world.

Prior to that Paula will be joining the annual Campus Harvest conference. Approximately 2000 college students will be coming together to worship and seek God. She has the privilege of being one of the seminar speakers for the weekend. She will be sharing with students how they can start an international student ministry on their own campus. The theme will be: "A Simple Plan + The Simple Truth = A Lasting Legacy of Cross-Cultural Disciples". She's believing that these students will catch the vision for reaching the nations.
