Scrapbooking- The Perfect Adhesive
Scrapbooking made easier.
One of the most irritating things about scrapbooking is figuring out how to adhere three-dimensional decorations to your page. You have labored for hours to create a beautiful shaker box or tag, only to discover that none of your adhesives will stick to your creation. This problem is where a convenient little creation comes into play: Glue dots!
Glue Dots is a brand name for small disks of adhesive that come in rolls. To use this type of adhesive, all you have to do is press the dot onto your embellishment and then press it on your page. These small disks come in lots of different sizes, so there is sure to be one to match your project, however large or small that project might be.
Have you wanted to work with ribbon or buttons? These materials are beautiful and create some of the most stylish pages in scrapbooking, but they are innately flawed. No matter what type of adhesive you use, the little lumps of glue show through! That won't happen when you use glue dots, though. Adhesive dots will stick to everything and they do not show through like regular adhesives. They absolutely do not seep outside the boundaries of your materials like liquid glues do.
Adhesive dots works like a sticker. You adhere them to the reverse side of your embellishments and the glue is pressure activated. This means it will stick when you put pressure on the backing, after that you remove the backing to expose the other side of the glue. This is the side you place on your page. The dots are incredibly thin, so they dont create a higher edge behind your ribbon or other decoration. There is also a more thick kind you can apply to make three-dimensional creations.
Have you ever thought about how you could stick those small rhinestones or sequins on your page? This glue comes in a tiny size, the mini size is only 3/16 of an inch in diameter. This size was made with tiny embellishments in mind. They are very sticky, which means that even these tiny items will be stuck permanently where you want them.
Finally, these adhesive wonders come in a completely transparent kind, which gets rid of the dilemma you face when you wish to apply vellum to your pages. Now, vellum does not show areas of glue through its opaque material, destroying your design. You can use this revolutionary glue for all types of projects. Make sure you have a variety of styles and sizes with you to be positive that you are prepared!
