Each standard tour includes hotel pick up and drop off via a van. The deluxe tours offer transportation in a limo, which is an exciting experience. Another fun deluxe tour is the one known as the "3-in-1" tour. It gives you the most comprehensive experience possible. It begins with a helicopter descent to the canyon floor where you get out and hop on a raft so you can tour the Colorado River. It also lands at the top of the Rim and gives you 2 1/2 hours there to explore. There are free shuttles available to take you to landmarks such as Guano Point, the Hualapai Ranch, the Indian Cultural Center, and Eagle Point. You can also try the glass Skywalk if you are brave.
Since its construction, the Glass Bridge has quickly become the West Rim's most popular attraction. It's a cantilevered all-glass bridge that lets you strut some 70 feet over the rim until you are suspended some 4K feet over the bottom. The views are unbelievable.
On the fun 3-in-1 tour, you can see the Grand Canyon from top to bottom. It is a fun trip you should try to take if you can.
Summing Up
You might be able to tell that I prefer the deluxe Grand Canyon helicopter tours over the basic version. Riding in a limo is a lot of fun, plus it eliminates the 30 minute shuttle ride to Boulder City, but not only that, the view of Vegas as you return is a spectacular sight, especially after sunset. I truly believe the deluxe flights are the best way to see the Canyon in all its glory.
